YES!!!! We were able to book the dates we wanted at The Edge Theatre in Edgewater, Chicago. Super psyched because it's a well equipped theater with a great sound board ( that I will now have to learn how to use). Now we await the final contract as we prepare for....well everything. Now that we have the dates officially, we can start putting offers out to people for roles and also take in auditions, which have also been coming in.
We've had many talented people audition. Unfortunately, there are not many female presenting roles in this show, and the women in the show are slightly older than many of the younger talented actors who have been auditioning. But seeing how we are looking for acrobats too there may be things we can do to bend things to include interesting actors with unique talents. Trap is always on the lookout for those people anyway.
The most important thing to me is that we have the right people in the room putting this world premier together. We are making a brand new show from scratch. So, we really need creative people who can listen to each other. But especially, people that can work well with the team we've already assembled. Chemistry is super important!
Onward and upward! I'm psyched!
