Success! I've been able to raise enough money from my incredibly supportive friends and cohort to confidently say that The Game will come to life next year. We are still waiting for theater dates which is a little frustrating, but scheduling can be tough for theaters that can't survive without being full every night.
As far as the show itself goes. We've already had 4 band rehearsals with Gary the music director/keyboardist and Jarrett the basssist. And I've been working diligently making final decisions on lyrics and cuts to try to get the piece to a digestible length. 2 hours or so.
Another thing that is being honed is the idea of the theater itself becoming a baseball stadium experience. With vendors, door giveaways, and all the pomp and circumstance of a ballgame. The Savannah Bananas were quite inspirational in their theatricality! More to come! A lot more!!
